captredbeard79
I'm breading dodo's for fighting in a server wide dodo championship. I was just wondering if imprinting is still worth it? It's not like we ride the dodo's to the arena. I guess I'm wondering if non mounted dinosaurs are worth spending the night imprinting them or not. De1lici0us
imprinted dino's at 100% give stats boost of 30% worth imprinting. even if not mounted, as long as you give the order to attack ect bonus will take effect
Donnerhorst
Maybe make it a cross-server tournament.. I think ppl might come and visit your server for such an event.. I surely would if I had a good Dodo to take part with...
Rudy9412
Yes the boosted stats would be worth it but only do the ones intended for fighting, wouldn't bother on the others. Also this is a pretty neat idea
darktimebbq
This is an awesome idea, any chance we can get some video of the action?
Volunteer Moderator GP Posted January 16, 2017 Volunteer Moderator Share Posted January 16, 2017 I don't know if this is still happening, or has already happened. However, before you go to all the efforts of preparing it and advertising it, I would take into consideration the flee mechanic. If one Dodo is stronger than its opponent, then one or two hits and the weaker one will immediately flee. The problem with this is that in a tournament like this it can potential just become a one-sided fight and the winner would be quite obvious as it would be the stronger one. I know the devs are looking to add a function where you can disable fleeing for tames, which is what i'm waiting for as i've planned a similar tournament a year ago and the thing that stopped me was the flee mechanic. This.. is the greatest thing i have ever read. Please, whoever is doing this.. i want to see a video go with it that includes a studio wide Dodo tournament as a launch trailer for the patch notes. Squell
When to avoid problem with flee fighting 1 vs 1 you should make it fight 5 vs 5 with balanced teams... If some dodos from both team start flee it wasn't one-sided fight... just paint dodos for team colors and it will be a great show
TimmyC
Yeah, dodo fights are probably not as interesting as you think haha. Dodo races can be fun, throw in some betting and voilà

BM0neyBagZ
This actually sounds like a lot of fun tbh, you could possibly try this with dire wolves ( not sure at the top of my head if they have the run away mechanic as well ) but still something you could try.
