Official Statement Regarding H.O.D Gaming and Game Exploits

Meshing is a problem if you do not post a ticket to ban poeple who broke throuth the word mesh.

Basicly glitching through a world mesh is an easy part with wall climbing and many other method on multiple games. 

• As it is a considered as a cheat by the ToC, people who do it have to be banned. Instead of asking for a patch submit ticket with tribe name , coordonates (solo mode 3d map coordonates) and  server of cheaters  that they can be identified and be banned to clean servers of cheaters. Sharing a screenshot with proof is not an option.

           If you do so even worst publicly on videos assume your act and being banned.

• As you have seen glitch of duplicate are patched cause it is easier to patch than rework the full vector path of the map AND is stealthier than meshing. (create new mnemonics to avoid meshing can dramatically decrease  servers performance that would killed the game even more but can be used on private dedicated server with few population)

• Dev do not have to show you any answers of tickets who are already register in their backlog. If you want to see the backlogs then postulate at WC as a dev. You are not able to do so? Stop crying and start to know of games maps are done and denounce cheaters with ALL INFORMATIONS NEEDED (previously ennouced) otherwise it will be like a flood useless ticket in other hand  if you give good informations WC will answer to you like they already did to me and many others.

• As an example , in WoW, no one cried that much for a mesh patch in 15 years for characters in capitals and killing people from undermap. Players  just denounced those players to get them ban. So if you consider WC as noob dev cause of meshing can you say the same things of Blizzard who haven't done anything for that in 15 years? Do not get hyped just by the name of the studio.

In conclusion the solution is not a mesh patch IT IS YOU like it is for many big games-studio. Many others main glitches were patched like the hive duplicate, unlimited electricity cable etc. So dev works maybe not as fast as you wanted to but they are ! Help them with good tickets and the game will improve faster. Flooding by crying everywhere will not help at all.

Building an ARK 2.0 is not for now a fix.

Now I haven’t seen much of hod gaming. To me he’s just another British YouTuber. And I will admit meshing and other stuff is an issue. However, i believe that ark is being bashed a by hod and his followers way too hard just because he’s a famous YouTuber and has a fan base. If I were to get banned no one would care. Do not mistake this as me saying that ark didn’t make a mistake banning him. I think he was right in trying to show us and ark the exploits used to destroy hours and hours of gameplay of people who don’t cheat. I think ark needs to try harder because this is why they are dying. Ark is a good game and I have a fun time playing with my friends and finding new people and pvping. But their refusal to use the solutions that people have offered... does aggravate me...

Phew! Sorry went on a bit of a rant. I have very conflictied feelings when I comes to this. Maybe a modder could come up with a solution and do som scripting or something ( I don’t know what it’s called) and see if they can fix it. If so that’s sad because a whole team should be able to easy. My point is: we shouldn’t bash ark so hard as all games have flaws and exploits. I couldn’t tell you how many games of call of duty I joined into and there were hackers doing there stuff.

This statement is nothing more than a sad attempt at PR to save face. 

The worst part being that you couldn't even apologize for what you call grey area. When it pretty clear you folks screwed up. H.O.D. Gaming's group contacted you, you failed to respond in what would be considered a timely manner in ANY professional industry. Additionally it's a widely known development failure, as that's what any glitch or exploit is. That has been ignored for years at this point. Perhaps take the money you have made from the game and invest it in maintenance and troubleshooting instead of pushing DLCs and generally ignoring community. 

Perhaps a good first step is officially and publicly apologizing to H.O.D. Gaming for making him the target of your childish behavior. And issuing an immediate patch to fix the issues the community has made you more than aware of for years.

Can you provide proof of that because a YouTube video is not contacting Wildcard?

3 paid DLC’s in 3 years is hardly a push.

Fixing mesh exploits and holes in patch notes is not good enough?

Here is what I don't get. Not only did he show the methods of using the exploit (Not on an official server I might add), but also suggested ways to fix it. 

I am still new to the game, but my understanding is that this has been an issue for a while. From what I have been reading and watching on YouTube, this has also been reported through the proper channels several times. 

Am I to believe that nothing has been done in the years this game has been around, and instead someone got banned for trying to be helpful? If this is so, then there is poor community support for this game and poor support from a company to the community never bodes well for a game. 

I would suggest rethinking your customer service approach. If someone brings an exploit or bug to your attention, it should take priority over all else. It shouldn't stay in the game for years without a fix. It shouldn't take a multitude of players to point out the bug/exploit, YouTube videos to be created showing the exploit and discussing how to fix it, and it still never get fixed. 

As someone who has been playing video games since the Atari 1000, I would say this reflects poorly on Wildcard as a company. While I enjoy this game, I doubt I will be purchasing any further games from you unless significant changes can be shown in the way you handle the player base.

Ha, he didn't suggest any methods to fix it that aren't already known about or implemented...

The real kicker though was the way he made the tutorial on how to do it after he was meshed the last time.

It's like a locksmith that starts telling people how to slip your locks because the lock companies won't fix something... While it seems like it's pushing the lock co around, it's leaving anyone who uses that lock, vulnerable.
