  • Introducing the Yutyrannus!

    large.Dossier_Yutyrannusresize.jpg

A new Dino Dossier has been revealed, this one is everyone’s favourite fearsome feathered fearless fighter, the Yutryannus!

    Wild

The Yutyrannus Saevus is believed to be related to the Tyrannosaurus Rex but it is noticeably different upon first glance. Feathered creatures are not necessarily viewed as dangerous predators in the same light as other theropods. However, the Yutyrannus strikes fear into even the most skilled hunters on the island.

There are few wild predators that are able to pack-hunt alongside the generally hostile Carnotaurus, like the Yutyrannus does, with such ease. It is also the only creature I’ve seen to consistently induce a state of panic with its roar. Upon hearing it, most creatures in the area will flee for safety.

    Domesticated

A domesticated Yutyrannus can be a powerful offensive or defensive addition to war parties. With its mighty roar, it can induce fear in opposing creatures. Meanwhile, Yutyrannus can be trained to develop a confidence-boosting Battle-Cry which counteracts enemy attempts to induce fear, while also bolstering the resolve of allies. These unique “leadership” qualities make the Yutyrannus a versatile, and at times, a necessary creature to have on your side during large-scale confrontations.

What he meant was he hoped this would be the giant crab. Doesn't mean there won't be giant crab.

So does this mean we are getting a fear mechanic for our dino roars?????? only time will tell.

I'm guessing fear dis mounts players and makes your tames run away. Based on every new creature being a pain rather than cool it's my guess.

Sweet baby Jesus this thing is gonna be terrifying. Take a T-rex, scale it down slightly, slap feathers and an extra claw on in you get this thing.

This thing is what is causing scientists to theorize that even large tyrannosaurids had feathers. Remember that lack of evidence of feathers is not evidence of the lack of feathers.

More feathers! Down with naked and cold birds! I'm excited. So cute that it hunts with carnos, hope to see a carno rework soon to bring these packs forward in interest.

I so hope this guy will be rideable... Seeing as how the kentrosaurus and the leedsicthys aren't I'd hate to see this guy join them

We can. There is a giant crab (approx. broodmother-sized) in mythical creatures mod.

So they changed Rex roar to sound like a wet fart to make a new dino that actually have a nice roar?

everything that has some kind of feathers on this game looks  so cool !!! why we can't have feathered utahraptors, oviraptors or maybe even t-rex ?!

the current (utah)raptor that is in atm has feathers  and not every dino had them although i do see ur point cause i would expect to see the t-rexs in the snow biome to have feathers it makes no sense to me why they are in the snow biome.

I don't really like how new dinos have a special ability that you can only get trough this specific creature. Why don't use new concepts like fear in every terrifying carnivores ? The Yutyrannus looks more cute than the carno.

There's a difference between not attacking and pack hunting. This dino looks awesome!

So will we possibly see one or multiple Yutyrannus leading a small pack of Carnos similar to how Allos are in a pack?
