  • Introducing the Yutyrannus!

    large.Dossier_Yutyrannusresize.jpg

A new Dino Dossier has been revealed, this one is everyone’s favourite fearsome feathered fearless fighter, the Yutryannus!

    Wild

The Yutyrannus Saevus is believed to be related to the Tyrannosaurus Rex but it is noticeably different upon first glance. Feathered creatures are not necessarily viewed as dangerous predators in the same light as other theropods. However, the Yutyrannus strikes fear into even the most skilled hunters on the island.

There are few wild predators that are able to pack-hunt alongside the generally hostile Carnotaurus, like the Yutyrannus does, with such ease. It is also the only creature I’ve seen to consistently induce a state of panic with its roar. Upon hearing it, most creatures in the area will flee for safety.

    Domesticated

A domesticated Yutyrannus can be a powerful offensive or defensive addition to war parties. With its mighty roar, it can induce fear in opposing creatures. Meanwhile, Yutyrannus can be trained to develop a confidence-boosting Battle-Cry which counteracts enemy attempts to induce fear, while also bolstering the resolve of allies. These unique “leadership” qualities make the Yutyrannus a versatile, and at times, a necessary creature to have on your side during large-scale confrontations.

Looks amazing btw. I wonder what "fear" will actually do.

looks as useful as the Lystro

So it's useful as a passive Dino to have, but falls out of value later game? Because lystros are pretty useful

Looks weird in the dossier for some reason, but I'm sure the in-game model will do it justice. Also, yesss, time for me to return to my love of dinosaurs. Sorry, mammals, it's been real, but dinos are number one in my heart again.

So we get a dino which probably gonna be weak, but can boost stats of other dinos?

So most people can finally beat bosses?

I wonder how loud the roar will be.

maybe as loud as the rex or can be heard further distances than the rest of the Dino's.

So the fear inducing roar won't be coming to the Rex in the TLC pass, I take it?

Oh, you mean like the Terror Bird, Scorpion, Saber, Direwolf, Megalosaurus, Allosaurus, Raptor and Rex being able to "hunt" with the Carno ;) Will we finally see carnivores not hunting together and sharing prey all the time? D:

There's a difference between not attacking and pack hunting. This dino looks awesome!

For the size of it. Isn't it odd that it doesn't say its ridable?

Also whatever happened to the weird creature that had wasps in its back in the works and popped them out like that thing from starcraft? I saw no dossier on that but it was in the dev kit at one time.

I want it - NOW! :D But there goes down the chance to get the Carcharodontosaurus into the game... Let's hope the Yutyrannus will replace the snow-dwelling Rex!

Not really. The Allos walk around with each other until one of them spots a target. It'll probably be like that. That doesn't happen with the other carnivores in "packs" but it'll be too little of a difference for it to be a unique ability.

The Dino *looks* awesome, I agree. Just a bit underwhelmed by its abilities.

King of snow biome with ability from Disney`s "Lion guard". Sounds like a joke, but maybe this creature will be "offcical indominus nemesis (OP indomiuns rex mod)" due roar bailities.
