  • Introducing the Daeodon!

    large.Dossier_Daeodon.jpg.c50b0fc3ab31e5

    Common Name: Daeodon
    Species: Daeodon
    Comedentis
    Time: Late Oligocene
    Diet: Omnivore
    Temperament: Territorial

    Wild:

Daeodon Comedentis is the largest known species of entelodont, an omnivorous family of ancient mammals that are sometimes referred to as “Hell Pigs.” Even though Daeodon has as many similarities to modern Hippopotamidae as it does to Suina, I’ve found that to be a suitably fitting nickname.

Daeodon is as mean as it looks, and any survivor who wanders too close to its feeding grounds will find that out the hard way. As an omnivore with a voracious appetite, Daeodon scavenges, forages, and hunts to survive. It has little qualms when it comes to its diet, and that has helped it thrive both on the Island’s dry grasslands as well as sandy ecosystems.

Its temper hasn’t hurt either, as many would-be predators would rather seek out less vicious prey. Its uncommonly high metabolism enables it to heal very rapidly, making it a difficult beast to bring down or even tranquilize.

    Domesticated:

Many tribes have made excellent use of Daeodon packs within their war parties, not only because of its fierce nature but due to its remarkable ability to rapidly heal itself. I’ve theorized that this healing factor is why it seems to have such a high rate of food consumption, which also makes it difficult to maintain; Daeodon may well eat its owners out of house and home. Far more extraordinary, however, is that this rapid regeneration is evidently able to affect nearby allies, and consequently worth the upkeep!

Wow! Looks really good, and quite ferocious. Very fitting for the "Hell Pig"!

Can't wait to see what else you guys have in store for us! Hoping to see Gorgonops or Saurosuchus soon!

That's something we gotta take up with Sony, bro. Apparently, WC has a functioning version of Ark for PS4, but Sony's like 'nah'.

    And there's the War Pig.

I prefer the term Battle Boar myself. Sounds more menacing.

Sony wants it bug free so players arent screwed out of time invested in the game

Hoo boy, then did they ever slip up when Assassin's Creed Unity was released for PS4. And Witcher 3. And a lot of games, really. Sony's just weird, especially recently with Skyrim: Remastered for the PS4 not getting mods. Not to mention Fallout 4.

Why does it even matter when it's released? You already get to play it you dork! Do you think that once it's released you're gonna get even more fixes? Think again.
