  • Day Zero: Server Information

    Hey, Survivors! As we enter the final hours before launch, we just wanted to get some vital information out to you! :Jerbhi:

    Day One Patch!

    The Day One patch will be set live across all platforms at approximately 8-9AM EST and should show up on all consoles within the hour. This update will include Ragnarok for console, as well as the End Boss content accessed through the Tek Cave for all platforms. 

    The update size for console will be approximately 26gb for Xbox. We do not have a number for PS4 yet, but PS4 patches are usually smaller in size due to the different method patches are submitted.

    New ARK Servers!

    The Official Server Network for PC will be going offline at 2 AM EST, and The Official Server Network for Consoles will be offline at Midnight EST. There will be at least an 8-hour blackout across all platforms where no Officials are online. After this blackout period, we will launch the new Official Servers, as well as the remaining Legacy servers. Over the course of the 24-hours following this, more servers will come online.

    For ARKs launch, we plan on providing new Official Servers for the following games mode: Regular/Vanilla, Non-TEK, Primitive+, Hardcore, Isolated Clusters, NoTaming, Extinction Servers and ORP. With the bulk of the servers being focused on the vanilla game mode (Both PVP and PVE), and smaller amounts of niche servers which could be increased based on player demand. The primitive game mode will be removed in favour of the Non-TEK Tier Servers.

    PC Asian/China Servers!

    The current Isolated PC PvP Asian Servers we have on our Official Network is hosted and provided by Snail Games. They have decided that with the launch, they will be taking down their legacy PvP Servers and relaunching them as part of the new Official Network. These servers will be included in our CrossARK Cluster, and therefore will be transferable to and from as opposed to being an isolated region. 

    ARK Legacy Save Files!

    Later this week, we will have both our PS4 and PC Legacy Save Files available to use. PS4 is expected to be here sometime tomorrow and will be accessible via hosting with Nitrado. Due to sensitive information contained in the save files, it is required to be accessed and hosted through a licensed third-party. Xbox saves will become available when rentable servers are available in September.

    Yeah, there are some full PVP servers and NO PVE at all. Take your glasses too...

    There are no official servers with room for our group to play. We were ready to jump in with a group of 15 and play for a week straight.... What a let down.

    They did excatly the same at the ps4 launch last year. There were not enough servers for days/weeks.

    Don't forget the dozen or so that they keep on the payroll to change the sound rocks make when you hit them with each update.

    Oh well it doesn't matter anymore... I got very very lucky today to get my spot on Scorched Earth. even after many people joined the server, so there goes.

    I've literally been on for like two days and cant get into any official or unofficial servers and my legacy character got deleted plus I have too play through bullpoop bosses on single player too even be able too just look around the new maps. Epic face plant wildcard

    I was in on ps4, doing my thing, a bit laggy but just fine, then it kicked me and now i cant get back in. not going to lie im a little upset rn. 

    oh and i own it on ps4 and pc.

    great investment.

    It's morning on the 3rd day after release. A new update released, no change except for shootergame error when listing servers. More hiccups? 

    GIVE US THE DAMN ESTIMATE! Unreal, unprofessional, unserious!

    What's sad is how they took away everyone's servers put out a new update & map w/ I'm guessing 1/4 less of the servers they had & now no one can get into play. So very disappointing. Not to mention what a turnoff for those new would be players that just bought the game but can't even play it. Talk about a total screw up by the devs.

    Hello WC!

    Seriously, i love your game. Played it for the last 8-9 month on PS4 with my friends.
    But this is a mess!
    We are on "Official PS4 EU PVE Server 829"
    now its 48 hours after release day and there are 18 (!!) out of, how much, 900-1000 PS4 EU PVE Servers?
    If my calculation is right, we can play again (on "our" server) in ca. three month ???? hopefuly just kidding...:/
    But there is another thing.
    Thougt this is an official website and sombody cares about the things people complain about.
    Is there anywhere an official answer from anybody?
    Think its a big point, why people here get angry.

    so can we get any statement whats going on?
    If you say, it takes a week before all old servers are online, it takes a week.
    Thats still a mess, but an answer.

    And on Xbox too. Last release of new servers all went to PvP. PvE Ragnarok needs some too, please. All the servers have been max population.

    So that was about 8 hours ago, does any one know if more legacy ragnarok servers are up? (xbox) are there still just 2 pvp and 2 pve?

    Is that really it?

    Hi I can't join one of my favorite severs on SE the sever is 939 on Xbox why can't I join it and will we still keep the Dino's on that sever?

    My server #432 NA PVE Island was NOT on the server kill list but it's NOT on the server list now.  What is going on???  

     

    I figured it out!  If anyone else can't find their old server try this!!!   IN the bottom left corner of the "server page" switch from dedicated player server to dedicated legacy!!    If we can't get help from Wildcard maybe we can all at least help each other!!
