Congrats to the Megaraptor !
Although this is a confirmation that I clearly don't like what the majority of ARK players seem to like XD

Could you warn us in advance for the next creature vote (Genesis 1, I'm assuming ?), the same way we had a heads up several weeks before Valguero's submission round ? That was a practice that deserves to be standardized.

Good luck to everyone facing the DDOS attacks ; I never understand what the people causing this are expecting from it.

UE5.5? So silent. 5.4 was initially promised for September 2024 then January then March... What will it be this time? Summer? I guess a year delay is nothing shameful for WC for something that actually matters to the game? I look forward to the next delay announcement.

We need better performance and optimizations! We do not need more pay to win creatures or other fluff no one really asked for before the game is actually properly playable. First fix your base game foundations please.

The Tany was so cool ! And the submission made it look fun and gorgeous at the same time. Plus, if you want jumpscares, we already have the Purlovia and we all know how much that creature is liked... I just don't get people.

At this point I'm fairly certain that whatever creature I deem worthy of being ranked 10th will win the final vote XD

I want to keep an open mind, but from the dossier at least the rest of the creatures sounded like they would make some aspect of the game easier/more fun, where as this one seemed like it would make it harder/less fun. 

I guess most people wanted the game to be harder? 

Did we really need ANOTHER theropod carnivore in this game? we already have 17 of them, counting the upcoming from ARK Additions that brings it up to 20...we don't need any more of these things

Welp, I'm a bit disappointed that Megaraptor won, but I'm all alright with it in the end. It could be a better Megalosaurus...

 

Not an actual raptor, by the way; it's a theropod dinosaur, looked it up.

The worst  thing about it is the fact that valguero already have deino as a unique map dino , it's so stupid to even think about putting another of that sort , honnestly i'm starting to think the votes are rigged , there is no way that people are so stupid .

We're all so pleased with your hosting providers.  No issues here at all.  Even when the servers are up, they're trash.  You've got serious issues with your long game.  You're looking in too many directions - maps that are 35% complete, new creatures from a fan vote, power ranger crap for kids.  What your community wants is a functional game with servers that perform. Prioritize getting your house in order. Look there, and nowhere else, until the issues are resolved.

I don't believe in the "rigged !" conspiracy theories (if WildCard was rigging the votes, they would never have elected the Shasta for The Center imho), but I do think it's worth talking about why the Community Voted creatures, although they're supposed to be popular, so rarely are when they win, and are often barely used past the point of novelty when they're first released. I see the Gigantoraptor being used in the long term ; the others, really not as much. This has less to do with the way these creatures are made (some conform pretty nicely to the original pitch, even if their appearance is modified), and more with the voting system.

Starting with the fact that only a few hundred people seem to decide who gets into the Top10... maybe the votes should happen WITHIN the game, to encourage participation from a wider part of the playerbase ? Or at least let the submissions appear in gallery view for easy browsing. Something.

I’m actually not that surprised that my predictions were right lol, Megaraptor FTW!!!!

I was between Xenoceratops and Megaraptor, now I'm happy Megaraptor won : D

 

I’m annoyed, out of all the designs. This one was lacking the most. No real special features, absolute pop culture version of the creature and was promoted the most by outside help. I’m glad we got a Megaraptor, but making it a glorified Nightfeeder with really nothing else about it. Xenoceratops had awesome abilities, the cheetah had several abilities up its sleeves, the Giant Stick Bug was an Ark itself with some very good utilities, The Coelophysis was an assassin and would’ve been our first free companion. I don’t mean to speak ill of the submission as I always hoped to get Megaraptor to win in one of these designs. It just didn’t feel right for Val with this design, especially with the Deinonychus.

Congrats to you anyway!!! I hope the implementation of it in the game does change my mind!!! And I’m really glad you won!!!
