Probably because most players refuse to pay 15 bucks for a map thats not even half finished.

Not an obsession my dude. I just don't think we need yet another Raptor or Trike or Quetz clone/variant. Give us something new that we don't have, and of those options, stick bug is the way to go, in my opinion.

in some ways you're right my friend... but an insect that's as big as a bus no. Then as I said, we are free to think as we please.

The eggs disappearing isn't exactly random. When you place them down they have a 30 min decay timer. At 2x they hatch in 42 min, so when you place them you have to pick them up and put them down again after 15 min. (12 min, but don't want to cut it that close)

Really impressed with what won this time. I don’t categorically dislike any of them which is a first. Really hope for either the stick bug, the aero titan or the cheetah.  They all brought some cool utility and usefulness so they don’t just get forgotten in a fridge. I will admit that yes the cheetah isn’t exactly super useful once you have  maxed out dmg bp but saved ammo is saved ammo. The cryodracon seems like it would be cool but get outshined. The sniper would get nerfed to the ground.   range is cool but it was nerfed when people whined about Meks back in the day and it would be nerfed now too.  Love that art for it though. The rest are just battle tames that no one would bother with once they have maxed Rexes and gigas and carchas. Why bother when you can just body everything?

While the visual designs of the current selection are quite interesting (the cheetah's scouting abilities are complemented quite well by their ability to kick up dust for an escape).... In my opinion, there were some other quite deserving candidates for this vote. Some of the most unique and interesting submissions got barely any traction and didn't even make the top 10.

I would have loved another mosasaurid (Kronosaurus, just the creature, abilities aside) would have been neat). There were also a few hadrosaurs proposed, and the only vanilla hadro we currently have is the Parasaur (although there are some great mods such as the barsboldia running around). And the Rhamphorhynchus would have been a neat alternative to the Dimorphodon.

Of course, I say this primarily in regards to the creature selection, over the map to which they would have been added. I'm hoping that some of these other critters get another shot at being selected (perhaps on a map where they would be a suitable tame).

Point being, I know there are others who would like either a wider variety of creature types, or some alternatives to existing creatures, or both. That said, it's great to see a couple more ceratopsids in the vote. And the fliers look great, too! And if the stick bug wins, here's hoping we see some cool abilities; I'm still hoping the Araneo gets some tweaks to bring it up to the devs' more recent modeling/animating capability, as the game's chitinous denizens seem to get the "short end of the stick-bug" (pun intended).

Also, I heard people are not crashing on Astreos, which means Nekatus did something really really good there, even with the map being that big. Meanwhile, I hear console people saying they crash a lot on other servers, specially Center and Abb. Could you guys take a look? Might have some intelligence (CIA style) to grab from there and apply in other maps. That would be awesome for a really big chunk of players.

You're not entirely wrong, but in my opinion it's wrong to make a reasoning of creature levels, since if that's the case then even the charca wasn't useful if I could maximize other creatures. However, you're right about pve/pvp

The imperfect form of ark right now is so upsetting. One thing, one change and this game would become my 24/7 life....maybe one day. 😔

I remember Megaraptor from the Scorched Earth Creature Submission, this is its redemption and I hope its redemption is stronger than its competition(even if a certain one was in the last 5 or so creature votes).

I get that having Penta and Xeno will be far better winners overall, but even if Megaraptor does win, it would be better than the other carnivores on this list, trust me I really don’t want to see a giant stick bug that looks like it was ripped out of Kong Skull Island to be in the game, and this is going to be a very unpopular opinion but I wouldn’t like to see the Cheetah win either, I’m very sick and tired of seeing it and quite frankly I’m happy to see it finally put to rest if it looses again. In summary Aero and Cryo are basically Hatze situations(they’ll never win but will keep coming back), Coelo and Desmeto will be forgotten due to time(like many other early exists) and Tany is just Tany(he’ll probably be a Nothosaurus/Jumping Spider situation where they gets turned into mods).

God, I hope Megaraptor doesn't win. Another boring theropod is the last thing we need
