Gee, who would have guessed that controlling the whole server as an Alpha Tribe, griefing and killing anybody who joints that server and is so toxic that nobody new bothers to join that server would lead to it being seen as inactive. Just because the same people join a server every day doesn't mean it's active as new players don't bother entering thus the number of players joining decreases to the point that the server is seen as inactive by their standards.

Says their analytics made an error and now its going to be a cull of over 340 instead.   

Culling due to financial issues of course is bad(and telling).  Analytics showing alleged mistakes is bad.  And obviously that's a management issue in the long run which is worse.

It really becomes an easy prediction to make the direction things are headed in given the messes that continue to be made.

Can anyone tell me how to get artwork signed up for the fan art section of the next community crunch? I made something really cool. (Just to clarify, I’m not talking about the contest, I understand that it’s ended, and I don’t have anything that could run Ascended anyway.)

It doesnt matter if company has financial issues or not - if servers do not serve the propose and are not viable for the business to have them, they has to be closed. To not go far, look at google. They got 0 financial problems, but still they are closing any service that doesn't work as planned. People used them, but not enough to get it where google wanted them to be, so they got discontinued. Same here with servers.

And its people on those servers who has brought it upon themselves, not admins. If people playing on those servers wouldn't bully others out, servers would be active, and no1 would close them. Simple as that. You want to dominate? Do it smart. Or go dominate private server.

Plus, there are a lot more server mods dozens of people are waiting and asking for (ie Hardcore or ORP), and it would be great if those freed server spaces would go for the use, and make people who want to play with others to finally get a place to play.

At this point I’m starting to scratch my head, why haven’t we heard anything about frame gen? I like the dev team and everything they’re doing but at this point I’m getting a little frustrated. “…we’re looking to restore nvidia frame generation ASAP…”. It’s been a month since the Aberration update and still no word of when we could expect it to be back.

pvp official transfer has ruined this game for pvp already 7 years ago, so pffft

at this point noone cares anymore anyway, it's already 9 years lol nothing has changed

 

 

Wildcard really need to cull their management team,every decision they make takes more players away from the game

Well part of the problem is that some of the servers still being sunset are active servers where the alphas are friendly and let people play the game. As well as it actully comes new people to some of the servers such as 519 which has mulitple tribes playing at the same time and new people often joining.

Just a wild gues: There are no teaparties on the sunset list?

Your last big update killed my GPU peformance on Nvidia hardware.  I can't get more than 20 fps now with settings that used to get me 40-60 fps (frame gen disabled).  Now my GPU is always at 100% load and performance is abysmal.

I once again ask you at Wildcard to please reconsider the sunsetting of 519 and other isolated small tribes servers. 519 is an active server with an active player base and a ark community unlike most offical servers one of which i have only seen on isolated servers where people are activly enjoying the game together in ways that are rare for both pvp and pve. With people being able to both enjoy communities, building, taming from pve while also being able to enjpy pvp with raiding with relativly low toxticity. 

519 is already an active server, however im not crazy and does not have the statistics i think the server has peaks of over 25 diffirent players on at the same time in the last month and during a normal day normally has at least 20 diffirent people on it which is more than most offical servers on asa that aren't on a newly realsed map. The server also have people form all stages of the game from alphas to our beloved beach bobs roaming the beach. As well as 519 being the one of the most popular small tribes isolated server the last month.

One of the main strengths of the island isolated is that it has no transfers. This one of the main reasons why the island isolated and ldl generally are popular types of servers on official since it doesn't have all the dlc items and creatures some of which have game changeing applications for pvp shuch as the shadow- and pyromane and metal cliff platform. Some players like to play ark more bare bones than others and as more maps and content come out this population will most likely increase and end with more people wanting to play isolated such as what happened with ldl on ase.

The biggest problem with shutting down isolated servers are the same which makes them popular: there is no transfers. Therefore us players on the isolated servers that are being sunsettet have no way of getting of the map and will go down with the ship or should i say ark XD. Jokes aside this leeds to us not being able to save any of our hard worked progress on which we have spent countless hours. We are going to lose all our beloved tames, bases and characters.

Therefore i humbly ask you to please save 519 not jsut due to the player base, but also to save the community which will always have a special place in my hearth, but you decide to still sunsett 519 can you at least enable transfers for us to save out character or let people download the saves from the sunset servers.

that's a lot of server being sunset with players still active if any players want to still have the official experience but without ever worry about their stuff being erase DM me have a home for you guys with no wipe and been on since ASA release on a full cluster of all 5 maps  

Like i said last weekend instead of shutdown those servers just make them just with the vanilla game, for those who just want to play without those crap DLC’s and op dino.

you will get more guys playing your game.

Can you please not sunset server 8067 it is an active server. A lot of bases and tribes are built on 8067
