Yea that’s how a lot of games went down could always set a cool down timer once you leave get to run and fly away but no fighting  or quick launch portal that shoots you up in the air so you can glide away or something

And yet every single time there's always hundreds or thousands of people yelling that they didn't put out enough servers to handle the launch day volume. 

I still question why people even play on "official" Ark servers. Like you say, the usual formula is: 

1) Rush to claim land on a server.

2) Realize that you can't get on any servers ever, except maybe for a few seconds until you crash.

3) Even once you've gotten onto a server, realize that every square centimeter has already been claimed by pillars so there's nowhere to build your own house.

4) Find out that there was absolutely no point in trying to "rush" to "claim land" on any of the servers cause wc is just going to delete them a few months to year or two later so why was I putting so much effort into it in the first place?

5) Never play on official servers again and instead play only single player, single player/multiplayer personally hosted world, or unofficial servers.

Theoretically yes, but it has been proven many times in the past that even 70 is too much for one of their servers to remain stable, so raising it above that would really be problematic.

Yep, you are about to join a not so exclusive club. Yep, they've done their "proper checks" to determine which ones to close.

My original server was one of the first ones to close waaaaaay back on ASE; after they had previously promised us that they would quote "Never close down an official server so long as their company continued to exist." Apparently they have long-term memory issues as they tend to "forget" many of their promises. My original server was the same as yours; about 20-40 people logging in daily; pvp across the various tribes all the time, including whole server defensive cooperation campaigns against foreign invaders from other servers; in-fact I'm almost positive that a small coalition of Beta and Ceta tribes on the server were considering banning together to overthrow the Alpha at the time(I was in the Alpha tribe at that time); yet they decided that it was "too inactive" and put it on the delete list.

Immediately after the announcement was made the entire server erupted in chaotic destructive pvp and nearly everything was demolished before the "saves" could even be a thing. I don't even know what happened actually; I logged in one day, after having been on just a day or two earlier, to find out that my server was on the list and when I got onto my server I found it deserted with every single base in ruins; tames scattered everywhere. It was like an apocalyptic war had gone on during the night while I slept. Previous to the wipe announcement the server had been very healthy and active with at least 2 Beta tribes and a scattering of lesser Ceta tribes.

That has not been the point of official servers since their first server wipe years ago in ASE. Think it was in 2017. Only about 2 years after "Early Access" launch. The only point of official servers over unofficial ones is that wc/sg will "usually" tell you in advance that your server is going to get wiped. Whereas unofficial ones might disappear on a whim depending on who's hosting it. Make no mistake, wc/sg will always eventually erase your official server. There is not a single server that has ever existed indefinitely. The longest lasting one, no idea which one that is, only lasted about 7 or 8 years. Would have been a "Legacy ASE" server closed before ASA launched. Not sure if any Legacy ones were still open at that time? If not then the longest lasting one would have only been about 5 or 6 years.

People still can't even log into any Aberration server because they are full most of the time... Guess that means no one plays PvE ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 🙄

Idk, why u want to delete our full buildet Server. I invest 2k Hrs on the server in the last 9 months. On highest peak we had 18 ppl on Server and u want to say me, the server is inactive. We fighting every day since the message. U want to save money or what. If the game had Not to much Bugs, like meshing, lagging...u had a few more players on Ur servers. This is the dumbest decision, i have ever heard a Company. In my Opinion, EA Sports was the badest Company, who earn too much money, but if u take down so much PVP Servers, who mich players has her Bases and Stuff...Ur re the biggest money maker in Gaming History. 

Other question...

Why u take only PVP Servers down? What is with PVE. I See every day PVE Server with 0 Players...delete this one, bcs PVP Players had still more stuff than the poopy PVE Players.

Perché togli solo i server PVP ? Cosa c'è con il PVE ? Vedo ogni giorno server PVE con 0 giocatori... elimina questo, perché i giocatori PVP avevano ancora più roba dei giocatori PVE di merda . 

 

 

the peak is 18? it will be strange but 18 is not much you know? the servers are 70 and not even reaching half 35 as a peak is a dead server

a fully built server with a peak of 18 maybe this is the problem, the fully built server therefore does not allow new players to enter! 18 players as a peak basically a dozen people from the alpha tribe and then a few others who try to survive, it is a dead server where one tribe reigns supreme and where almost no one else plays anymore. and if this description is fine for most pvp servers it is because pvp in general is dead 

I agree with most of the comments here. This is not acceptable. These servers are active. You are giving zero notice to players - most of the people have no clue what you’re about to do. I only bought this game because you closed ASE small tribe servers and this was the only option if I wanted to play small tribes. I paid twice for a worse version of the same game and you’re not even providing the service you’re supposed to. Small tribe servers are not supposed to wipe. It looks like you’re sunsetting almost all of the servers - what went into deciding which servers to end? If these servers are “inactive” you might as well sunset every server because this whole game is “inactive”. If you know you’re releasing extra servers at launch then have a set of temporary servers so players know they are going away. If you wipe my base I want a refund, this is messed up. So many people are going to quit.

Please don't sunset small tribes isolated 516. We can't move anywhere and will lose everything. Server is still very active.

If you’re planning to sunset these servers, there are several ways to minimize the impact on your player base. First, provide advance warning and sufficient time for players to migrate to other servers. Each server should display a message upon login indicating its impending deletion. Allow players to pick up their structures so they can relocate their investments. Additionally, publish a list of servers that will remain operational, so players don’t have to sift through the extensive list of those being sunset. It would also be helpful to allow element transfers off these servers to other island servers. Currently, the complete lack of warning and the decision to delete everything players have worked hard to build is beyond frustrating. I find it difficult to understand how such a poorly planned implementation was chosen.

Played it once and thats enough. Such an uninspired paint by numbers affair. Cosmo being involved gave me high hopes it would be a fun swinging race type game. Nope just web the pillars. Yawn.

The entire "Club Ark" thing could have been sooo cool as an idea. But from what I've seen, the entire thing is horribly boring and even in some ways in my opinion cringe. So many things in ASA just disappoint me so much. 😢

Imo the actual social hub area is really cool but the games have been very lack luster. I think it would be way more fun if you qued into races with players from all other social hubs kinda like the racing lobbies in GTAV.

I'd play the crap out of a good cosmo swing race against other people.
