Honestly not too terribly happy with the vote, I honeslty believe too many people vote based on the abilites these creatures have in the suggestions, but in all likely hood the devs probably won't use the abilities suggested and come up with their own, I feel if they do the next vote it should just be purely the creature with some background of it's real life counterpart, and just let the devs worry about the abilities

The fly thing won? Darn that's disappointing. I wish something interesting would've won like the Gorgonopsid, the Bison or the Cheetah. Hopefully they make it realistically small and not rideable. Maybe the next vote 🙄.

Honestly people need to remember one thing, the Rhyniognatha isn't gonna be 1 to 1 with the post. WC will probably put a spin on it. Even if it's the size of a Quetz and is a "Sky Giga" doesn't mean it has to be Uber op and can face a Giga in combat. All it has to do is incur the dread of randomly encountering a Giga on the ground, and that means it will most definitely mess up your flying run if you encounter it. All it takes is it being able to do something that stops you from flying/dismounts you in the air, that is literally the minimum it has to do to be an absolute menace.

(Mind you this is only if they keep the "Sky Giga" thing at all.)

This winner is just sarcasm. Someone made stupid joke and WC took it seriously.
The vote should be IN GAME menu implemented. So that only people who really play votes and votes ONCE per bought copy of game.

Que un escarabajo bastión está cerca, aunque se sabe que son de temperamento neutral, este coleóptero es de respetar, es mejor no molestarlo si no quieres terminar aplastado por sus cuernos y quedar como plastilina, este La criatura se puede encontrar en bosques, pantanos y praderas según el mapa, los escarabajos volarán bajo en estos lugares, los adultos no pueden ser domesticados solo los bebés, si buscas bien en troncos podridos puedes encontrar sus larvas, su domesticación serán pasivos, (los encontrarás en diferentes tamaños como los kairuku) pero ojo que en su estado larvario segregan una sustancia que atrae a las hormigas usándolas como sus guardianes, y no solo eso, si hay una fortaleza de adultos cerca, no dudarán en atacarte. Para los insectos, estos coleópteros vienen con un instinto protector hacia sus crías. Si logra evadir a los adultos, aísla inmediatamente la larva que deseas y ofrécele savia de árbol, madera de funca, savia de nopal, miel o torta de verduras, estas 2 últimas son las mejores opciones para un mejor amansamiento.

 

 

• Domesticado:
una vez que sea tuyo, solo comerá madera, madera de funca, savia de cactus, savia de árbol, torta de vegetales, además será la primera criatura bebé que podrás poner en tu hombro de inmediato (solo temporal porque su crecimiento será lento ).
• Habilidades de las larvas del hombro:
- ofrécele polímero orgánico y será un repelente de insectos que te ayudará en las cuevas y domesticará insectos.
- las crías desprenden un olor profundo a la nariz humana, esto te ayudará a no quedarte dormido si tienes letargo.
- Los agudos sentidos de la larva te ayudarán a encontrar notas de exploración o runas, recuerda darle su caricia si lo deseas.
la larva del escarabajo bastión tendrá un estado de alegría, esto ayudará a que la larva crezca más rápido para llegar al estado de pupa, para mantenerla feliz debe recibir caricias por un tiempo determinado, de lo contrario sus capacidades se anularán y no podrá tienen un beneficio de rápido crecimiento.

 

Cuando llegue a su etapa de pupa, crecerá en exceso donde necesita mucha atención y mucho espacio porque en esta etapa comenzará a crecer mucho y verá dimorfismo sexual. Además te digo compañero, el baluarte tendrá un largo tiempo de maduración para convertirse en adulto, casi igualando el crecimiento como el monte grande, ¿qué te puedo decir? ¡La metamorfosis no es nada fácil!

 

*Domado:

Cuando finalmente se convierta en escarabajo, podrá alimentarse de frutas y carne, así como usarlo sin montura.
En tierra será algo lento pero con una de las mejores reducciones de peso, el agua es su peor enemigo, ¿has visto un escarabajo no acuático en el agua? muy torpe y se le mojan las alas siendo imposible volar, pero en el aire será uno de los voladores más maniobrables ya que al igual que el grifo puede volar hacia atrás pero de mejor manera, aunque más lento. Donde quieras que se quede volando tu bastión, allí se quedará.

 

Habilidades generales: 

- Aleteo en el suelo: en el suelo arrojará a todos los enemigos pequeños a su alrededor extendiendo y batiendo sus alas como el wyvern.
- Agarre aéreo: mientras vuela puede agarrar criaturas medianas y medianas-grandes (es un escarabajo de gran escala, por supuesto que puede llevar dinosaurios grandes).
- Caminar como un dios: Ambos pueden trepar y agarrarse a cualquier tipo de superficie.

-Escupitajo químico: cuando se ve amenazado, el Bastión puede liberar un compuesto ácido volátil sobre quienes lo amenazan.

 

PASIVOS:

* Pasivo:
- 75% de reducción de peso.
- Mantendrá la misma velocidad, incluso si está en el límite de peso.
- Reducción de daño balístico 25% (excepto tek).
- Resistencia a la radiación.
* Debilidades:
- Daño extra de fuego 30%.
- vulnerable a genesis net 2
- daño adicional a torretas tek 20%

 

 

Habilidades del macho: 

 - Fuerza terrestre brutal: será capaz de cargar y lanzar a los enemigos con su poderoso cuerno de quitina (si mantiene agarrada a la víctima le hará un daño progresivo alto hasta matarlo). 

- Golpes de Canelo: embestir con su cuerno empujará ligeramente a los enemigos como el diplodocus, pero con daño adicional.

Duelo de machos: entre machos habrá un sistema de lucha con sus cuernos, el más fuerte vencerá al otro embistiéndolo o cargándolo (perfecto para torneos).
* Pasiva masculina:
- Persecución: si hay otro volador no aliado cerca del bastión tendrá un 15% más de velocidad y resistencia.
- Último aliento: cuando tiene un cuarto de vida libera feromonas que lo cubren por completo, brindándole por un corto período de tiempo una reducción del 90% en el daño recibido que nublará la visión del enemigo.


el bastión es un escarabajo que puede cargar más de 100 veces su propio peso, aunque la hembra es más fuerte que el macho.

 

Habilidades de la mujer: 

. * Habilidades de la hembra:
- Mordida fuerte: con su poderosa toma criaturas de tamaño pequeño a mediano, pero con un alcance bajo considerable a diferencia del macho.
- arquitecto: con sus mandíbulas podrá tomar cualquier estructura de tu base para moverla a otro lugar (como el exo mek).
* Pasivos femeninos:
- Duro como el acero: cuando la mujer está a la mitad de su salud, tendrá un 50% más de resistencia al daño.
- Huir: cuando es atacada directamente, libera faramonas que ralentizan al enemigo muy brevemente (3 segundos por ataque)

 

• Bastión de guerra:
Tu montura se fabricará en el fabricante, tu bastión se convertirá en una máquina de guerra:
- ¿Qué ofrece la montura en general?
- propulsores ligeros: usando gasolina como combustible, tendrás una velocidad lo suficientemente decente para moverte en el mapa.
- Linternas: linternas en tu montura perfectas para la noche o para ir de aberración.
- piloto seguro: la cabina es perfecta para no desmontar.
- asiento eyector: solo para el conductor, cuando el bastión muere el piloto es expulsado de la montura (espero que tenga un paracaídas).
- Asiento extra: asiento extra con la opción de equipar la ametralladora genesis 2.
- Las monturas otorgarán una nueva habilidad de arma para hombres y mujeres.

 

• Machos:
Los machos en su montura tendrán un par de ametralladoras modificadas para su tamaño.
- Usarán munición avanzada.
- a nivel de estructura, puede dañar estructuras metálicas
- Se sobrecalentará
- Tendrá daño progresivo.
Habilidad especial:
Sin sobrecalentamiento: Ambas ametralladoras dispararán sin parar dejando al rojo vivo otorgando por un breve tiempo x3 en daño.

Femenino: 

La hembra, al no tener su cuerno, en su montura cambiará por completo y verás un cañón de 90mm.

- Ella usará solo balas de cañón o munición de cohetes (ambas municiones tienen daño diferente).

- a nivel de estructura, puede dañar estructuras tek.

- Tendrá tiempos de recarga

- Estos pueden ser interceptados por torretas.

- Solo podrás usar el cañón si el escarabajo está posado en una superficie y no en el aire. 

Habilidad especial:

Ataque de artillería: por un corto período de tiempo la cadencia del cañón cambia dando la oportunidad de disparar tiros consecutivos, pero con menos daño.

 

Ambos tendrán una montura con un asiento extra para otro pasajero con una ametralladora que puedes acoplar (la nueva arma de genesis 2) para el pasajero extra.

También se ha mencionado a tribus de alto nivel que crean sillas de montar tek avanzadas con habilidades especiales.

el exoesqueleto bastion es uno de los mas duros del arca, la quitina bastion es unica con una dureza dificil de cortar y sobre todo de obtener porque hay que tratarla con paciencia, la quitina prima que te ofrecera el bastion para mejorar tu armadura , pero tenga cuidado, las posibilidades de obtener la quitina principal de los cuerpos bastión son muy bajas.

Les traigo la nueva actualización solo para la armadura antidisturbios, equipen la armadura con la poderosa quitina principal para convertirse en un gigante de lo que yo llamo, la armadura bastión.
al usuario se le ofrecerá:
- resistencia al daño balístico +40%:
- durabilidad: + 40%
- resistencia al daño cuerpo a cuerpo +40%.
- penetración de armadura - 30%
desventajas:
- velocidad -40%
- peso +15%.
- golpe de calor +10%.
- gasto de resistencia si corres: +30%.
- La armadura de bastión se puede reparar.
- bloqueo total de todos los accesorios (alas, máscara de gas, etc.).

• utilidades: pvp / pve :
- cansado de usar rex para el jefe? No lo dudes y forma un escuadrón de baluartes para acabar con el jefe.
- ¿No has desbloqueado el exomek? ¡Con la habilidad de la arquitecta femenina puedes olvidarte de este problema y mover las estructuras que quieras en tu base!

 

- Olvídate de usar cañones para domesticar golems o tek armas para el astrocetus, usa el bastión femenino y olvídate de los problemas.

usa una nueva forma de volar en el arca, ¡usa el bastión!

Inspiración de Santiago:

sinceramente ark necesita un volador rápido que sea insecto y no una linda lymantria jajaja. mis principales inspiraciones fueron los helicópteros, siento que podría cambiar el meta del juego para mejor y darle otro aire fresco a nuestra ark para sus últimas actualizaciones, para el diseño masculino me inspiré en tempest, la criatura jefe volador de gears 3 y la montura de 2 torretas basada en el diseño de la criatura karn de Gears Judgement.
para el diseño femenino me inspiré en los caminantes de las guerras clon, el AT-TE y los tanques pesados soviéticos IS-2.
tener algo así en ark parecía un sueño, pero estamos a un paso de hacerlo realidad.

Disagree big time, thematically bugs are 10× more interesting than cats and cattle. The Gorg is only interesting because it's a Synapsid but will like be dog like in role in the game.

As always, I'll wait for it to actually be in game instead of moping around now

When is this update actually coming out for PS4? It's 10pm and still nothing. Will you be extending the event by a day since today is supposed to be the start? 

The winner is ok for me (probably people just want very powerful creatures) but not my top 3 (it was nr 4 for me). I cant believe why people vote for Hatzegopteryx (just little different Quetzal) and Panthera Atrox (just a cave lion, for me Giant Cheetah was more cool) in top 3 so I'm happy that Sky Giga won out of the 3.

Also I can't understand why Razana was eliminated first (it was cool idea and I saw many people was hyped for that), why Nothosaurus was so low in voting (I didn't expect it to win but expect to be higher) and why Gorgonopsid was so low (one of most hyped and very cool creature, many people wanted it to be added to ARK, for sure it deserved more votes than Panthera Atrox). Gorgonopsid and Nothosaurus were the most interesting for me.

Before voting I was hoping devs will add more creatures (maybe top 3) not only the winner but now when we have votiong results I don't feel big hype for adding nr 2 and nr 3 to the game and I'm only waiting for winner - now sky in ARK will be more dangerous place for sure

The voting result of this time is extremely inaccurate. It is the result of the official use of the third-party voting website. The voting result is completely inconsistent with the heat and number of votes discussed in the official community forum. Antarctorechus-balli is the first in the forum discussion.

The desmodus I sorta saw coming out on top at the time. It had more potential as a mount and certain useful abilities like echolocation (because cmon it's a giant bat) were all but assured regardless of suggestions being dropped. Plus carchara was just utterly boring because it was so similar to things we've seen a bunch of times before. With this vote I felt Rhynio had the potential to get up there as a three time competitor but between the beetle and gorgon going at it, the bison being another three time competitor with support, and the influx of outside votes for the lion, it was honestly not looking good for the Rhynio. Color me corrected and surprised.

That could theoretically go awry too unless handled properly. Some platforms like steam have a policy that allows you to return a game if under a certain amount of hours has been played. Someone could just open an account, download the game, vote, then get a refund. It sounds ludicrous sure, but there are people with tons of bot accounts for things like TF2. 

I mean welldone to the person that created this thing, great effort but don't we have enough insects in the game?

I certainly won't be in any rush to tame a fly...

A mammal would of been ideal to be honest.

Reading through the replies to this topic, there are alot of disappointment people. Come on Wild Card, seeing as this is the last creature add maybe you can sneek another one in there and make it 2 new creatures coming to the game? Just a thought.

True but I don't expect a lot of people to buy the game, install it just to vote and refund game after this. So there will be much less votes made by people not playing ARK.

Are so disappointed that the Rhyniognatha won. Would rather the Gorgonopsid or one of the cats or even the bison win instead.  Think Wild Card will make it very small. Since in real life its the size of a small mosquito. 

Think Wild card kinda gives us a hint also. the Picture they Chose of the Rhyniognatha is showing how small it actually is.

Don't blame Wildcard they gave the public the opportunity to vote. The result is on the public.
