    Welcome to another edition of the Community Crunch!

    We've got a short one this week. We're all busy working on new and exciting content for upcoming months.  We are remaining focused on the health of the Official Network and collecting bug reports and feedback from various social media platforms.

    You should expect to see a continued focus on existing bugs and polish as we round into the summer months!

    Enforcement Updates

    Mission Areas

    Last week we encountered a bug that rendered some caves build-able.  If you have structures within a mission zone (cave) on the Genesis map, you should remove them.  The Enforcement Team will take the appropriate actions to remove them otherwise.

    Teleport Zones

    Teleport zones are treated as spawn zones and should not be blocked or have turrets in them on PvP or PvE

    Mindwipes

    Recently we deployed a patch with a fix to the cooldown timer on mindwipes.  We are aware that this didn't resolve all the existing issues that players are currently seeing.  We are actively working on a fix for the remaining issues.

    Player Dedicated Servers

    We hoped to have player dedicated servers up and running but we've hit a roadblock that will delay us from being able to deliver the feature as we had previously hoped.  We will keep you updated on the progress we are making!

    Voice Chat

    We're excited to introduce new chat modes (whisper and yell) for those that found the previous chat functionality lacking.  We expect to have this feature deployed to PC in the near future!

    EVO Events

    We've enhanced our tuning system that's responsible for rates, like harvesting and taming, to be more accommodating for the various game modes and play styles that are available.  This will allow us to do specialized rates for those who didn't normally receive them.  We're putting the final pieces in place and we'll let you know when the system is live and ready to go.  We'll do a detailed post outlining how you should expect EVO events to work in the future.

     

     

    EVO Event

    Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk this weekend! It will be active from Friday the 20th of Mar at 1 PM EST until Monday the 23rd of Mar at 3 PM EST. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes:

    • 2x Harvesting Rates
    • 2x Taming Rates
    • 2x EXP Rates

    will all the lunar caves be dev wiped if buidled in? they are quite the base spots.

    I just noticed the banner text said community crunch 202 @Cedric lol

    Anyways, some lunar biome caves still have bases in them and some are now buildable for some reason because they were not like that before.

    Can you elaborate please? What platform do you play on and did you get an update recently?

    PC Official PVE. I'd rather talk about it with one of the staff than tell everyone here where it is.

    I’m only asking because that update went through for Xbox/PC about building in caves and caves that were mission areas not supposed to be built in initially. I have a cave on Lunar that isn’t in a mission area and haven’t gotten a definitive response on if we’re allowed to stay since rumors were flying around saying all were going to be wiped. I ready in CC that just mission area caves were supposed to be non buildable but idk anyone who plays PC or Xbox that can tell me if the update let people stay in the caves or not or at least in the East Lunar cave where no missions are. Looking for clarification is all

    There is a bug where if you are host and you start the spy vs spino or any other hunt missions you cant see the footsteps so you need you're friends to do the footsteps for you...I would love that bug to be cleared out

    Also where host can't feed elements to the ferox so you cant really tame it I would love that bug to be removed to thanks slot and keep up with the great work!!! I'm on (xbox)

    Then why do you need breeding sped up? Now that you’re in lockdown you have plenty more time to play. ? ?

    Every day i have time to play, but without breeding its not much fun.

    If you want fun rates just play unofficial servers instead of constantly asking for unofficial rates on official servers.

    Indeed. Or host your own server. Then you can have the settings at whatever you choose.

    *Unofficial rates*, we had a 2.5x previous week, but as a lockdown another boost would be cool.

    Could you do all us bored people a favor and extend the 2x, 3x, or whatever increases breed rates to be a whole lot more frequent than just the weekend, or start the Easter event early so I’ll have things to do in quarantine from Corona Virus (I’m in USA, California and very bored from my state’s lockdown policy). The increased harvest rate only goes so far once things are harvested, I’m bored again. I have expanded my base 3 times in stone, and it’s currently so big my neighboring tribes have moved away. (Sorry).  But it’s all I can do with just harvest rates. Thanks for bringing the EVO event for this weekend early! That helps. But could a policy be made for the duration of quarantine over the course of the Corona Virus epidemic? There will be people sheltering from it as long as it’s running rampent.
