    Anti-Mesh System Enhancements

    Last week we deployed upgrades to the anti-mesh system that significantly reduced the amount of meshing that is occurring on the Official Network. It’s been instrumental in creating a fair playing experience and decreasing the amount of meshing, as we are seeing an overall 90% reduction. We truly believe, with your help, we’ll be able to move the needle to 99%!

    The first iteration of the anti-mesh system only included detection which enabled us to collect critical data needed to upgrade the system to take action on those who were identified to be meshing. The wide-scale deployment of the second iteration last week allowed us to reduce the edge cases and false-positives that resulted from upgrading the system to take action. We’re now introducing an upgrade to the action-taking capabilities of the anti-mesh system that is much more aggressive than the prior version we introduced last week. Instances in which you may have been teleported before will be less forgiving now. This upgrade has been tested on multiple maps and across a large number of servers.  After fixing the few edge cases that resulted from the upgrade, we are now confident in widening the scope of servers to ensure the system is ready for the larger network.

    It is possible that you may find yourself in situations where the system has not accounted for and we're asking for your assistance in reporting them. Your tribe log will contain important information about any actions taken by the anti-mesh system. That information is useful in determining if it was a legitimate action and will be utilized to make further improvements to the detection logic.  We've created a thread for you to file your reports:

    We will be vigilant in reviewing your feedback and responding to cases in which the anti-mesh system acts incorrectly. With your help and cooperation we believe we can eliminate meshing, an exploit that ruins the gaming experiences for many survivors across Official and Unofficial Networks.

    Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk this weekend! It will be active from Friday the 31st of Jan at 1 PM EST until Monday the 3rd of Feb at 3 PM EST. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes:

    • 2x Harvesting Rates
    • 2x Taming Rates
    • 2x EXP Rates

    Wildcards biggest mistake is not wiping or at least giving us new server clusters.I suspect genesis sales are lower than excpected due to people quitting,a lot would return with new servers.

    wildcard please make sure you got the 99% fixed before moving on to the next bug, if you guys keep it there almost gotten rid of its still there and could expand itself again, dont be like the germans against britain in ww2 pls!

    It's a good idea and would be ok if it would help fix the lag issues time zone dont matter all goes down at the same time rather it 12,1 ,2,3 o-clock

    The daily reboot idea isn't a bad idea, especially if a time, such as 12AM GMT, were announced well ahead of the implementation by a few weeks, and perhaps pop up for a bit on the message of the day. Doesn't take long to reboot, and everyone can just plan around such things.

    Time zone dont matter it all will shut down at the same time people will just work around it same as always

    Wonder if dinos will change colors for valentines day event? Like red, but what other color? Maybe purple? And you think we will get breeding event even though we got extended breeding during the winter event?

    Complete server wipe with Genesis release! Do your best at fixing duping and meshing then reset all official servers. Pvp official needs it because of all the duping, pve official needs it because of the sea of pillars everywhere.

    This is fantastic! I have been really frustrated by this; I actually dont play with other people very often, but I keep losing all my gear when I fall through the floor in caves. So excited for it to finally be addressed.

    i died offline INSIDE my base and lose my chibi magmasaur 
    AGAIN.
    Nothing kill me i just DIED

    I am not sure but there are actually launch options for your server to turn off the anti meshing stuff, or to make it non lethal but just teleports people out.

    -noundermeshchecking // Will turn it off the anti meshing system entirely
    -noundermeshkilling // Will turn it off the anti meshing player kills (but still allow teleporting)

    I had this issue, I mind wiped and it fixed it, dropped me from lvl 133 to 131 though but atleast I can gain xp now

    Though if these mesh fixes make a difference you may inspire me to actually play instead of just filling up generators and jumping off, keep up the fixes wildcard! :)

    Man those are some huge losses. Did you submit a ticket and report them?  You might be able to get them restored.

    How will this be added to ASM? I tried adding it to the launch arguments but had errors stating it cannot be found.

    @Cedricthanks for the pvp fixes, good work there but corrupted on PVE are still a big issue on Extinction. People teleport corrupted gigas to others and try to steal what they can. :/

    Good job.....BUT that graphic 👩‍💼  at the same time also work to show the amount of players reduction too, that they quit playing cause of the huge amount of toxic/abusive players and limited support?? PVE OFFICIAL LIFE
    I still have some hope that will be work on to be fixed too 😊

    It sucks :( .but if built properly  this is no issue. Always build as if a player will attack you .on any map. Trolls are always waiting  for  a quick laugh. It's why I won't go to official. ...I like to make these trolls feel the pain♡.♡^^ it's funny how much they squirm and cry when u have them prisoner...in PVE .... I have no time to wait on support  ...with false  hope ....if I could fukushu idea tell you my secrets ^^ but it's against forum rules xD and possibly banable on official....but yes this teleporting wild Dino should not be ingame...and should  be resolved.

    This still bothers me.....  Anti meshing, but not map fixing?

    Here is a prime example.  How hard would it be to put a block there?

    And the mesh lines on Extinction down in the sunken forest.   My eyes burn!

    Dear Ark staff,

    for the past weeks I have been experiencing a bug that causes loot crates to despawn (and I think wyverns as well). I play Single Player on Xbox One and have experienced this bug on both maps Ragnarok and Scorched Earth. On the Internet I saw that people had the same thing. Could you please help me to fix the bug?

    I found those in the patch notes, i run a linux script to launch my cluster from my own hardware. I just add them into that script. but do not add both i think they are mutually exclusive.  if you are renting a server you will have to consult with their documentation or staff. it was added for pc in server version 304.445. I am not sure if ps4/xbox has caught up to it yet but you can find the patch notes on the forum.

    I have been looking around on the forums, ever since the update in early january all xbox users are experiencing the same issues. Wyverns, drops, gigas, beavers, titanosaurs, fish, rock drakes, deinonychus, corrupt dinos and other extinction drops/ nodes are not spawning. It takes a lot of fun out of the game when this much of it stops working. Hopefully they fix it soon.

    @Lycan187uI have build big turret towers all over the area with multiple lines of walls, gates and HP golems and rexes to tank the corruped until the turrets finish them off.

    Still, they must have pulled so many corrupted gigas that they killed a rex with 100k+ hp, the corrupted don't have the bleeding effect thankfully, so it must have been quit a lot of dinos.

    I know how degenerate Extinction makes people and multiple tribes on our server have been wiped out because they can pull endless amounts of corrupted. The corrupted gigas keep respawning infinitely and the best defense can be cracked with enough time.

    The thing is also that's it's PVE and people don't want to be forced to play like on PVP. Everyone should protect their stuff from trolls but if you can teleport corrupted dinos, it's just a matter of time until someone cracks open your base if he manages to build a teleporter close to your base. ^^ 

    I just think/hope that disabling the wild dino teleport could already fix a major chunk of the issue.
