    Upcoming Console Patch!

    Xbox and PS4 will both be receiving a patch to fix a number of issues. The patch includes several optimizations for memory and lots of changes from the v289.100 PC patch. We'll have more details on the date soon. NOTE: The patch will be a large download! Patch notes for this upcoming patch are below.

    Quote

    Texture Streaming

    • Apply pool size changes immediately to save memory

    Tek

    • Fix Tek saddles

    Riding

    • Fix ability to toggle third person

    Managarmr

    • Structures now block dive damage
    • Fixed issue with dive damage not being reduced by armor
    • Ice breath should no longer go through Managarmr when aiming backwards and aiming for the opposite side

    Exploits

    • Fix for exploit involving chairs
    • Fix for exploit involving ladders
    • Fix for exploit involving Tapejara
    • Fix for exploit involving Karkinos

    C4

    • Can no longer place C4 on platform saddles

    Tek Bridge

    • Fixed issue with placement where bridge incorrectly identified other structures as enemy

    Terminal

    • Fix for players getting disconnected when accessing a terminal with too much in their tribute inventory (achievement rewards)

    Turrets

    • Fix turret damage calculation so that damage is consistent at low frame-rate

    Spyglass

    • Can now double tap X'(on Xbox) or Square (on PS4) to turn on crosshair while equipped

    Keybinding

    • Adding whistle land flyers command into the keybindings options so that it can be bound

    Server Stability

    • Fix for rare crash

    Horde Mode

    • Fix for some corrupt dinos stuck in attack in place after the crate is completed/destroyed

    Scout

    • Fix scout being destroyed by your own turret on spawn

    Velonasaur

    • Breath FX on low stamina only

    Mek

    • Enable hit pause on low fps swings
    • Fix for meks consuming Element Dust

    Titans

    • Improved placement of health bar for Ice and Forest titans
    • Saddle physics improvements

    Chat

    • Fix formatting of Names with embedded URLs

    CryoPod

    • Improved tribe log report

    Extinction

    • Fix for Ascension skipping cinematics for saved games
    • Fixed spawning below world in Crater Forest
    • Fix for dome transition issue on reload
    • Plugged numerous holes
    • Updated Forbidden Zone spawners
    • Structure prevention volume updated to allow building in the City Trench eastern sewer pipe/building
    • Prevent flyers in Desert Cave
    • Floating foliage deleted
    • Fixed multiple places where players could get stuck
    • Fixed erroneous Wasteland debuffs
    • Updated placement of kill barrier in a few places
    • Fixed erroneous undermesh teleport spots
    • Removed unnecessary meshes under Crater Forest

    Structures Plus (S+) & Kibble Rework Beta!

    The Structures Plus and Kibble Rework beta is still available and we're looking for additional feedback as we get closer to release of these features. We will have another update to the beta branch soon, addressing some of the feedback and suggestions from our beta participants. Thank you again to everyone that has participated thus far and provided us with their feedback. Please check out the post below for all of the information on how you can get involved in play testing this beta.

    Upcoming Server maintenance!

    Beginning at 2am CET on January 30th (8PM EST January 29th) we will be taking down some of our EU servers for maintenance. We will be performing successive hardware upgrades, therefore the affected servers will be shut down in waves across the maintenance period. A list of affected servers can be found in our linked thread below.

    Modding Community Updates!

    It's time for another ARK Devkit Tutorial! ?

    We're finally getting down to something cool looking. We're doing a little bit of polish in this video because it has a bit of impact on how we handle the spawn/despawn controls of the mod. So there are circumstances where it might be good to take a break from the rough work and put a little bit of time into some refinement. It's good when you think it will have an impact on the overall design or if you just need a little catharsis.

    Evolution Event!

    Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk this weekend! It will be active from Friday the 1st of February at 1 PM EST until Monday the 4th of February at 3 PM EST. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes:

    2x Harvesting Rates
    2x Taming Rates
    2x EXP Rates

    Thank you for the large console attention. It was much needed. The first crunch with distinction since March 2018, almost a year.

    Only thing I do not like is another monument to a meshing tribe on the Island. Is it a triple ground mesh with a non mine able stone on top sark_questionmark.

    Can't wait to explore the Island again on a forcetamed corrupted Wyvern without crashing.

    No wonder console players are 2 updates behind PC, we haven’t had an update for the past 6 weeks! Well, at least we’ve been able to enjoy Winter Wonderland for all that time though it’s going to get a bit stupid going into February with that event still active, but by the sounds of that announcement, the console patch won’t be coming today.

    Yeah, I was so hoping and the ini files. So far all the changes they post for the pc are awesome, can't wait. Then we find out we have to wait months for it, if ever.

    Es vergonzoso que el servidor 466 pve llevé mas de 24 horas sin sesiones encontradas estoy asta los cojones d mandar correos y pasan del tema se lavan las manos como siempre

    '"Raptor Claus has arrived" Ho ho ho ho' shall haunt my dreams for the rest of time....

    I really hope we dont need to wait another 6 weeks for the next update, swear all the good stuff was in the most recent pc patch.

    It's cool to get another patch but agree sucks being behind patches compared to pc. Plus wondering if we're going to see any of the improvements and changes pc got on their n last update on 24th like stack sizes and timers pausing while dinos are cryoed that would be awesome to have....

    The patch notes shown in the announcement are what the PC had 2 patches ago, so even when console receives the upcoming patch, we won’t receive the things you listed until the patch after that.

    El servidor 466 más  de 24 horas y sigue sin sesiones encontradas me parece patetico y de cerdos por la parte de wildcard que llevemos mas de 24 horas con un servidor cerrado sin poder acceder a el y me ago una pregunta vosotros entendeis d informatica ? Teneis un minimo de conocimiento para crear un juego? Por q no es logico q a dia d hoy sigamos teniendo estos problemas por q lo unico q os interesa es ganar dinero y todos los demas problemas os limpiais la putas manos q los jugadores y sus opiniones os importan una mierda . Gracias y recuerdos a la familia

    Why so many changes from pc update ? There was a few updates in the pc patch I was looking forward to like chatbox change or least give us the option to place our chatbox in the corner of the screen we like

    NOTE - On official servers and by default on others, only 3 Titanosaurs can exist at once on The Island and they can not be fed once tamed (unless you enable it in advanced settings), rendering them temporary tames.

    You have to press C and angle your view to where the crosshair would be looking at the berry patch as if the crosshair were present
