    The Center, a massive new ARK map which was created by modder Ben Burkart, is the first to be made into an Official Mod, following the announcement of the Official Mods Program.

    Venture through The Center’s stunning new biomes and caves so large that they facilitate their own living eco-system.

    The massive map doubles the in-game playable geography of the already enormous ARK landscape making it roughly 70 sq. kilometers. The Center is filled with stunning lighting effects, lava rivers, giant picturesque mountains, misty floating islands, ancient underground ruins, enormous ice caves, and of course beyond the breathtaking sights lay dangerous threats and mysterious secrets to unravel with you and your tribe-mates.

    The Center is free for all ARK: Survival Evolved players, and for those who have yet to adventure into the mysterious dino-inhabited world, you’re in luck as ARK: Survival Evolved is now on sale for Steam Players for 33% off and on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox Program for 25%-off for Gold Members and 15%-off for Silver Members!

    The Center was crafted completely by hand without any auto-generated content, it will use it’s own save data, with separate options to reset the save data for each individual map. We’ll also be launching new 100-player Official Servers and today’s update will also include additional content and fixes:

    Xbox:

    • Added all content up thru PC patch v240 (includes such things as Broodmother Arena, Megapithecus Arena, Direbear, Manta, Chem Table, Prim Cannon, Lystrosaurus, Arthropluera, Sabertooth Salmon, Primitive Bola, Tribe Rank Management, and more!)
    • Fixed memory/crash issues, massively reduced game memory overhead
    • Improved rendering performance by approximately 10%
    • Fixed the huge stall/lock/crash when you "Transfer" a bunch of items at once
    • Spawn-In First Person Animations are now playing properly once again
    • ADDED The Center Official Mod Map! Doubles the playable game area of ARK, with all new adventures -- added Official The Center servers supporting up to 100 simultaneous players!

    PC:

    • Added The Center Official ARK Mod/Map as Free DLC
    • Added new 100-player 'The Center' Official Servers
    • Improved Non-TrueSky Sky & Lighting (+ SM4/Mac/Linux)
    • Significant server PhysX & Networking optimization
    • Added option for PvE Servers to disable building around critical resource node regions
    • You can now pickup and toss Dodos & Dung Beetles. Rejoice!
    • Fixed the huge stall/lock when you "Transfer" a bunch of items at once
    • Arthropluera "Turret" AI mode option: won't move and will only used ranged attack against targets.
    • Added server option to override per-Item Crafting costs
    • Added server option to override the loot tables for each kind of supply crate
    • Added server option to limit number of members in Tribes. Default: no limit.
    • Warmap now dynamically shows the mini-map texture of whatever level you're playing on!

    (Please fix) Me and my brother were happy too play the new map the second it started i made my person look funny like always my brother gets in and black screen So i saw his name and i walked too him and hit him then it fixed and i tried too play multiplayer and crashed instantly (Please fix)

    It was announced for summer time around August. 

    Out of interest why do you care about the servers if you play on a dedicated/ non dedicated?

    Love the update for Xbox but more servers are needed and i saw some servers for both Zones EU and NA that only had 1 person in and i couldn't join and they didn't say Xbox The Center is this just me? Also More servers are needed like 50 for each zone.

    it seems to be a bit bugged, some of the sounds on my (the center) map don't play right or at all, other than that i love exploring the new map, already found a place to set up, hopefully this wont be the only other map to be added

    Continuing from my last post but minus the gigga troll this time.

     

    Now that sight that i fought was a cave entrance was most certainly the mother of all cave entrances an is currently the entrance to my base since its deep enough for dunks an other aquatic animals an the pool at the end is wide enough to circle around when i want to leave.

    An after exploring the cave i found out that it leads to one of the ruins but you do need to swim to get there an the view from the ruins is beautiful plenty of building or hunting locations and the top part is a perfect nest site for any of your flyers.

    I've not explored it all yet but what i have explored as made me very happy not just for the mobs that spawn in there but also for the countless metal an crystal nodes that are all over the place.

    Now ive got some scorps, beavers, raptors a rex an bronto an 3 adorable lysts but i just might have to force tame me some titanoboas an use them as my front line.

    Atm I play on my own server due to my friends server that he hosts on his second Xbox one being down for a while. Ty for the info as well. And if the server is still down by the time those official servers come online I'll be on that.

    I can't find pve-ou-xbox official server 89 after update.

    My tribe is huge. We spent months playing.

    Nobody finds.

    I wanna my money back!

    I hate to whinge, especially since the Center map is beautiful and we get all these new creatures... 

    But I only play single player mode, and it is not saving... 

    Opened Ark to play the new map this morning, created my new survivor for the Center, for some reason I was unable to name him... Anyway, I accepted him as Joe and launched the game. Spent 10 mins running around getting a view, quit to answer a phone call, go to re-enter the game and none of it had saved? 
    I thought it was just a crash, tried again and the same issue. 

    So I thought for now I'd just switch back to my original character on the ARK map, where I had made various metal bases all over the map with hundreds of tames. That is apparently gone as well. 

    What's going on with single player saves being gone? 

    I sat there and watched the game and saw the "saving" info come up, thought I could then safely quit to rejoin later. That didn't work either?

    My command prompting was not working either?

    I finally get into a server on the center after a day of trying to join just to get kicked bc when I go to make my player name the keyboard screen that pulls up is just frozen?? I reset my xbox and try to search for the server again I was in but then when I press search filter the text thing is frozen on the screen again. This has happened multiple times while trying to name dinos and whenever it does happen I am required to unplug my xbox from the wall and back in to get it working properly. Very annoying the controllers home button won't even work bc of this stupid glitch

    Never mind devs, members, and admins, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and everything is spic'n'span. Beautiful game! I can't wait until it's been fully optimized to be able to see it in its complete glory

    I've gotten into one of the pvp center servers and i was lucky to get in but my game quit out and i was no longer been able to join ive beem trying for the last hour or so please add more servers soon or make them hold more player please its impossible to play with my tribe on a server.

    Read the EULA. My guess it is shielded pretty good, saying you are still playing a game under development, alpha blabla.

    I have been playing on the new Map on Xbox One with all my old Youtube friends on the New Map ... it is Amazing! the only strange bug i have encountered is that you cannot invite to the server thru the Admin server Xbox unless you go to the specific friends Xbox profile. Has anyone seen this problem? other than that once i get everyone in we have a blast. We created the Viking Town of South Shield. and Me and my Wife and Kids adopted 2 little Ark Puppies we call "Kala and Kaden" we set up a little Farm off the ocean and love the new center map!  Love it might start my own Ark Viking Diary
