    • ARK: Survival Ascended has completely recreated and redesigned the artwork and worlds of ARK to take advantage of the latest in videogame technology, Unreal Engine 5, using high-end graphics features such as fully dynamic Global Illumination (“Lumen”), so that light bounces realistically of off surfaces and provides realistic reflections, and advanced mesh streaming (“Nanite”) of hundreds of millions of triangles for extreme detail.

    • Advanced new physics systems such as dynamic water so that every creature creates waves, ripples, splashes, and bubbles as they move through fluids, and fully interactive physical foliage where every blade of grass, bush, and tree reacts to characters, explosions, projectiles, and physics objects. Knock down a tree, and see it crash into other trees and disturb all the foliage on its way down to smacking into the grass below! Detect an enemy moving sneakily through the grass as it shifts and sways in response to their presence. Demolish a building and watch the pieces break apart realistically, interacting with the grass and water as they fall.

    • ARK: Survival Ascended includes access to all of ARK’s worlds, including Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, ARK Genesis Part 1, ARK Genesis Part 2, and more. The Island is released now, with the subsequent expansion worlds to be added at no additional cost on a regular basis.

    • The definitive survival experience returns better than ever: design your Survivor, form a tribe, and tame, train, breed & ride dinosaurs within a living ecosystem. Watch your food, water, temperature, and weather patterns. Slowly expand outwards as you harvest, build structures, farm crops, customize your visual designs, and proceed to explore to uncover the true nature of The Island and the worlds beyond.

    • Thorough Quality of Life revamps in every area: redesigned User Interfaces, dynamic navigation for intelligent creature pathfinding, Wild Babies, Photo Mode, new Camera systems, new Map system, Tracking System, new Structures and Items, new Creatures, and much more.

    Console Survivors,

Last night, while continuing our internal quality assurance process for ASA, our team identified some critical issues in the multiplayer version of the game that would have had major implications for the console versions of the game. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we’ve decided to delay the launch of the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game until November.

We understand that this news is disappointing, and trust us, we’re disappointed too. The team really did aim to get everything out for all platforms in October, but we fell short just at the finish line. We’re sorry about that, as we know a lot of you have been very excited about this launch and made plans around it.

    Next steps?

As of now, we’re working on two tracks. One track is managing the launch of PC, and the other track is preparing a patch for the game's console version with the latest content/gameplay updates and fixes.

The additional time lets us resolve those specific multiplayer issues and bring the game up to the PC specification, which received a number of critical improvements as the console versions were going through certification.

We’re still planning to keep crossplay between Steam and Consoles disabled until we’ve entered the quicker certification process, but that decision could change based on how things are looking with PC at the time.

The added benefit of this change is that it also enables us to ensure a smoother console launch as we’ll have fought many of the initial fires with PC and have a more content-rich and stable modding experience that has been battle-tested when the game becomes available on consoles.

Finally, when the console is ready to be released, a fresh set of Official Servers will go online with bonus rates (for a period of time) to allow you to catch yourself up in preparation for Crossark.

We know that this news is far from ideal, however we’ll be doing our best to make the game as good as it can be when it launches in November. We are really grateful for the support and cannot wait to get ASA with cross-platform mods into your hands!

    Studio Wildcard

This is the one game we have been looking forward to above all others. I've been following the the information daily, keeping up with whats happening. Last night made sure I'm on YouTube to see the trailer and then we get bent over. I've played ark since it came out, but I'm pretty much ready just give up as I'm sure alot of other player are feeling at the moment. You have lied to the community and let a whole section of you fanbase know that you do not give a continental about them. If you think this surface apology and vague promises are going to keep your fanbase, whoever is in charge of this mess needs to catch a wake-up.

Thank you for showing the console community exactly how much our business is valued.

    My today's Ark experience:

    1. Downloaded
    2. "Played" 30 minutes
    3. Refund sent

    Really disappointed.

dude they didnt have a choice but to release it as a early acces, since snail games pushed them to realease asa before 1 of november.

To be fair....technically if I recall they didn't say they were on track to release it on ''all platforms simultaneously'' so, as a PS5 player I fully expected the staggered release based on the vague language and history. Disappointed? Yes, a bit. At the moment, having seen some footage (I don't want to see too much and spoil some of the surprises for myself), my biggest question is how dumbed down the game will look on consoles and how much less stable. I'm hoping as the engine itself gets updated and they work more on it, it might get better in due course. Concern wise, I have a bit more of those over artwork and animations. I was hoping to see more fluid and varied animations for the creatures, especially the older ones that didn't have a TLC. Also, I'm a little bit surprised that the grey rocks have been dropped making everything on the ground blend it a bit too much and looking overal a bit more ''generic''? I do hope there is alot more artwork changes in due time.

To those defending Wildcard... I have this to say...I do have a PC and I am still a little upset. I was hoping to play with all my friends and family on a private server at launch but my less wealthy/fortunate friends and family have consoles. I mean...why tell us that we were "still on track for an October release" If we in fact are not on track for an October release. Because it has been asked repeatedly over the previous weeks. That is where any remaining faith has been lost.

It's the same old garbage WC trots out every release. Here's a thought. Get better at your job. How long have you been working on Ark? The incompetence by this studio is legendary by now. My only hope is that with the Nitrado deal , this costs WC alot of money. Money I'm sure they poorly managed, hence the deal in the first place.

I am done being lied to. I have pc players who wanted to play at launch together. Do you think that I want to start on a server that I am behind on, or that they want to start over by the time you release on console? The constant deception WC displays is hurtful. I feel as if, at this point, I do not even want to play Ark anymore. More than 1/3 of my life has been dedicated to Ark since I started playing 4 years ago. I suggest being a little less vague about console release before you lose more players.

They can't set a date coz they don't know.

It's very clear man, very simple and clear lol

the bigger the project, the more problem it might have that you can not expect, the more freedom you need.

coding and game development is not like making a movie or drawing where u can have a clear estimate coz so many unexpected can happen. giving a clear date simply mean you are putting a big pressure and possible disappointment on the line.

Ofcourse, they could say something like 20 or 30th November, give themselves a big gap of time so they are sure they can do it in that time, but if they think they might do it earlier, giving such a late time is just gonna make people mad.

As a fellow programmer and a console player I can tell you this from personal experience. In order to patch this and get the game out it might be the second week of November at earliest unless they know exactly where in the programming code this error occurred

Ok the real scoop is that you released a buggy game on steam too ensure you met the deadline of Oct 31, so there were no contract issues.   An once again left your console players in the lurch. But honestly most of us of come to expect this because we have been let down so many times.  Now I will say this the devs work hard and can’t be held responsible for the crap decisions of the company.

And to add to this they probably aren't going to re cert the entire game just the multiplayer portion that had the issue in the first place I thank studio wildcard dev teams and await the game to come out on console

Your devs and community managers told us "not to worry" because the game was definitely on track for release in october after a two month delay in august. we assumed that you were being truthful considering you had two months to fix any issues. you insisted that we not be frustrated and that the game was fine and would be aim for a  late october release for ALL PLATFORMS and now you say it is delayed for a third month last minute as PC gets a release but console gets no release date at all most likely to be delayed further. No one should trust anything you say at any point about anything you are literally the worst. time to go tell the consoledummies on reddit who had faith in you and told longterm players such as myself that they shouldnt be pessimistic about wildcard that "I TOLD YOU SO NEVER TRUST OR HAVE FAITH IN WILDCARD...ONLY HAVE FAITH IN THEM DELAYING!"

Lol yeah right. Nothing from WC has ever launched early in a month. It's always last minute.

While I think it's amazing ASA is released I think it's unfair that people who pay an extra 100-200 dollars for a PC to play ark get a whole week or month to play ark official servers before console, because if this crossplay thing actually happens like wildcard says it is that's totally unfair to console players who don't get to play the game because of a paywall. Make a game and release it in full access or don't release it at all until you can.

Also I knew that after the end of the ark trailer it would say "coming soon" and never give a actual release date, but it's wildcard so wasn't really expecting much more than what we got.

Guess I'll be watching some PC ASA gameplay on twitch and YouTube

We waited just as long as the rest. Release it at the same time or delay it. But they dont care. Everyone waited. But even now not even a date for console. I think they lose allot of players because of this.

    Good job again🤣

I don't even play on official and am not concerned with content being spoiled as i am capable of controlling what i consume, but i still wouldn't have minded if they held pc release back with console as the game CLEARLY needs more time in the oven, those performance issues tho..

Soooooooooo, you didn't really enlighten us at all.  Complete flop for the release.  Promises broken already, though the community expected delays, we were still promised up to the day before release "everyone will play at same time" Great way to build consumer confidence.  Maybe partnering with someone that knows how to actually develope and produce a product effectively.

Anyone who has played Ark knows that their unwillingness to put out a date for console most likely means it won't come until some time Q1 of 2024. Don't worry console players, they'll give you a 2 times event for a weekend that they won't give to PC and I'm sure that will make up for the lost 3 months before they open CrossArk. Then in usual fashion, PC players will have modded the heck out of the game and there will be aimbots and meshing that will ruin the game again and render it unplayable. But it's all good, Wildcard et. al. will have gotten their money and continue not to care about the state of their game.
