  • ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to mobile devices

We are very excited to announce that we are bringing the world of ARK: Survival Evolved to iOS and Android devices. This free-to-play mobile version features the full online survival experience contained in the PC and console versions of ARK, including a gigantic island to explore, 80+ dinosaurs and primeval creatures to tame and train, multiplayer tribe mechanics, and of course, crafting and building!

In the coming days we are launching a limited closed beta on iOS, with a full worldwide launch expected later this Spring on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. Interested ARK survivors should stay tuned to this News section for updates on the game’s development and visit this link to sign-up for the ARK closed beta.

    MOBILE FEATURES INCLUDE:

    • Taming: Use cunning strategy and tactics to befriend, train, ride and breed the many dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the dynamic, persistent ecosystems across land, sea, air, and even underground.
    • Discover: Unearth rare blueprints and Explorer Notes written by previous human denizens of the ARK from across the millennia, detailing the mysterious Island’s creatures and backstory.
    • Craft and build: Using any means necessary - survive, craft weapons, clothes and items, and build shelters, villages, or even large cities.
    • Plant, harvest, build, level-up, and customize everything visually and functionally, including procedurally-generated RPG statistics for creatures, characters, resources, clothing, gear and weapons, both primitive and modern.
    • Play alone or team up to survive: Team up with, or prey on, up to 50 other players in a large-scale multiplayer online first-person environment, or choose single player mode to test your mettle against the world solo.
    • Join a tribe: The 'Tribe' system encourages cooperation, by supporting dynamic parties to share resources, XP, and respawn points.

While maintaining the true ARK experience as closely as possible the mobile version has undergone its own mutations which allow for the ultimate experience on a mobile device. This includes faster paced gameplay, a unique user interface and a specialized control setup developed specifically for the mobile game.

The mobile version also offers optional upgrades survivors can aquire using Amber that will allow players to progress faster, obtain certain buffs for periods of time, build special crafting structures, and even bring your beloved tames back from the dead!

Hello wardrum, I received the beta on Thursday! Overall, I think it is a very good idea to put ark on mobile! It does currently have some problems though. Some dinos cant hit you. I knocked a sacro out with my fists! It did no damage when hitting me. There are a few more bugs, but that is the main one. Going to positive facts about this beta, It is very fun, great online game and I LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ It!!!

It is best to provide feedback on the beta in the Closed Beta forum here: https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/forum/20979-closed-beta/

If you do not have access then you will need to go to your profile, select edit profile, and place the beta code you will have gained in to the "Redeem A Code" box, hit save and you will get access.

1 May is spring! (In the northern hemisphere)

Yes Spring runs from Mar 22nd - Jun 21st.

Regardless of what anyone says about Android in Spring, I would only pay attention to what War Drum say. They have mentioned Spring, but take what they say as others don't know any more than that and if anything changes they may inadvertently give incorrect information.

Excited for the android version, I am very curious how this translates over to being played on a mobile since it uses a ton of PC resources.

The game plays well on the ipad 2017, highly recommend the newer ipads and iphone x to play the game. If there is supposed to be a singleplayer, has it been implemented yet, if so how do i access it?

Currently there are only multiplayer servers, because of beta testing. But there will be single player / offline game on full release.

@WarDrumJordan Sir will iPhone 6 be supported because Player Uknown Battle Grounds requires 2 GB of ram and my phone seems to run it perfectly fine and extremely smooth.

We will not be supporting unofficial servers or mods at launch. Both are things we hope to implement post-release.

It won't be decreased cause that's not how RAM works, ios is made particularly for mobile devices so the code is much more compact. That's why it needs less RAM to play the same game, it's just more efficient than android.
