  • ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to mobile devices

    We are very excited to announce that we are bringing the world of ARK: Survival Evolved to iOS and Android devices. This free-to-play mobile version features the full online survival experience contained in the PC and console versions of ARK, including a gigantic island to explore, 80+ dinosaurs and primeval creatures to tame and train, multiplayer tribe mechanics, and of course, crafting and building!

    In the coming days we are launching a limited closed beta on iOS, with a full worldwide launch expected later this Spring on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. Interested ARK survivors should stay tuned to this News section for updates on the game’s development and visit this link to sign-up for the ARK closed beta.

    MOBILE FEATURES INCLUDE:

    • Taming: Use cunning strategy and tactics to befriend, train, ride and breed the many dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the dynamic, persistent ecosystems across land, sea, air, and even underground. 
    • Discover: Unearth rare blueprints and Explorer Notes written by previous human denizens of the ARK from across the millennia, detailing the mysterious Island’s creatures and backstory. 
    • Craft and build: Using any means necessary - survive, craft weapons, clothes and items, and build shelters, villages, or even large cities. 
    • Plant, harvest, build, level-up, and customize everything visually and functionally, including procedurally-generated RPG statistics for creatures, characters, resources, clothing, gear and weapons, both primitive and modern.
    • Play alone or team up to survive: Team up with, or prey on, up to 50 other players in a large-scale multiplayer online first-person environment, or choose single player mode to test your mettle against the world solo.
    • Join a tribe: The 'Tribe' system encourages cooperation, by supporting dynamic parties to share resources, XP, and respawn points.

    While maintaining the true ARK experience as closely as possible the mobile version has undergone its own mutations which allow for the ultimate experience on a mobile device. This includes faster paced gameplay, a unique user interface and a specialized control setup developed specifically for the mobile game. 

    The mobile version also offers optional upgrades survivors can aquire using Amber that will allow players to progress faster, obtain certain buffs for periods of time, build special crafting structures, and even bring your beloved tames back from the dead!

    is ark mobile going to be compatible with samsung galaxy s6? because that's the phone I have.

    And also my brother has an iphone 5s but I want to know if that's compatible too.

    It should work on your S6. But I believe iPhone 5s is not supported.

    But I wanted to ask technical support about a problem that made me disabled to play.
    Anyway, now I have a problem and don’t understand how to solve it. When I tap the button: join ark in the main menu, it shows me server list, but there aren’t servers at all inside. I mean that there is only this text: can not get list of servers. Check your network connection. 
    I see this text in the table, where usually servers are situated. Can you help me and explain, what to do to continue playing ARK mobile

    If the game requires 3gb of ram to run, how am I able to play it on my iPad 5th gen that only has 2gb of ram? Is it 3gb of ram for both android and iOS devices or just on android?

    Okay, to answer your question iOS device need 2GB of RAM to run the game while Android needs 3GB. You can run the game on mobile devices with less RAM, but you'll face FPS drops, lag and crashes, although the game is playable ?. Lastly to answer you question on why iOS needs less RAM please click here.

    Yeah, War Drum Studios are porting the game to mobile devices. And they're doing a great job, check out their YT channel ?
