  • Introducing the Titanosaur & Humble Bundle Sale!

    large.Dossier_Titanosaurus.jpg.e47feab21

    Common Name: Titanosaur
    Species: Titanosaurus Vagacastrum
    Time: Late Cretaceous
    Diet: Herbivore
    Temperament: Passive, unless approached

    Wild

Today I witnessed an unforgettable sight. The extremely rare ‘Titanosaurus Vagacastrum’. Essentially a walking mountain, it is an absolutely enormous sauropod which has developed armored plates of bone protrusions all over its body.

Between these plates and its unparalleled size, Titanosaurus is extremely difficult to put down. In addition, Titanosaurus seems outright immune to any sort of narcotic effects. They often inadvertently crush nearby creatures underfoot with every step they take.

Whilst most Sauropods ignore non-hostile creatures, Titanosaurs take issue with creatures invading its personal space. This is probably because they aggressively feed off any and all plants they can find. Titanosaurus eats constantly, which certainly helps recover health quickly, even after fighting off numerous carnivores such as Giganotosaurus.

    Domesticated

I suspect that a Titanosaur, for all its sheer size, is overkill for a lone rider. Rather, for those elite tribes powerful enough to bend one of these titans to their will, the epic creature is employed as a mobile superfortress, capable of ferrying obscene amounts of weight, structures, defenses, and creatures across the island. Some nomadic tribes even have their main base on their back of a Titanosaur!

I love the way the devs incorporated spikes that look like stone all over it it really gives it that sense that it really does rival mountains in size

this is amazing. if you get one on a official server with a quetzalcoatlus you could tame anything and get anywhere on the map. you could also leave it on aggressive no one could kill it and if your on it you would never loss it.

But how do we get close enough without getting crushed? The thing is massive!

    That's probably the trick.

Looks like we're going to be getting close whichever method it turns out to be, club or berries.

Or it could be something entirely different to tame it.

If this thing is as common as brontosaurus are everyone and everything is screwed (Yes I know it said it was rare but giganotosaurus are also supposed to aswell but we all know that they aren't really very rare)

My guess for this tame would be a new method, seeing as it's immune to narcotic and it is far to big to passive tame, my guess would be a new method or gameplay change such as wild fertilized eggs? Or possibly it could be tricked into loyalty, maybe by saving it from death? And maybe that would be a way to implement a loyalty system to all Dino's.

I bet it will be a Passive tame probably, and this could be the Herbavoir equivalent of Gigantosaurus ;)

One question I have is what is the creature next to it? It appears to be larger than the Giganatosaurus judging by its comparison to the people next to it, so is it possibly another massive creature that could rival even the games end game bosses?

I'm pretty sure it's the Giga. Notice the horns and three fingers, also it appears to be standing upright, making it look bigger

And his arms, look like a giant baryonix with a short nose.

Look at his pose. bipedal theraupod can't raise their back like this, but quadrupedal can for a short time, and his arms look long enought to toucht his own knees.

I hope for a giant quadrupedal theraupod as an apex pred. on counterpart of the giga, and it would make sense:

     Giga>rex>carno>raptor

    This thing>spino>baryonix> (and maybe) irritator
